(bl) Push the INIT/REF on the keyboard to get out of BITE.

(1) Make sure that the left and right IRU switches are in the NAV mode.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU PREPARE THE AIRPLANE FOR THE AIR MODE BEFORE
_______ YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER THAT FOLLOWS. AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS IN THE AIR MODE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Do the flap switch rigging test:
(a)
Set the flaps to the 0-unit position.
(b)
Engage the autopilot channel A in the CMD mode.
(c)
Set the flaps to the 1-unit position.
(d)
Make sure that the autopilot channel A stays engaged in the CMD mode, when the flap position indicator is stable.
(e)
Set the flap to the 0-unit position.
(f)
Make sure that the autopilot channel A stays engaged in the CMD mode when the flap position indicator is stable.
(g)
Disengage the autopilot channel A.
(h)
Engage the autopilot channel B.
(i)
Set the flaps to the 1-unit position.
(j)
Make sure that the autopilot channel B stays engaged in the CMD mode when the flap position indicator is stable.
(k)
Set the flaps to the 0-unit position.
(l)
Make sure that the autopilot channel B stays engaged in the CMD mode when the flap position indicator is stable.
(m)
Disengage the autopilot channel B.
(n)
Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to get out of the BITE.

Q. Sensor Excitation Test

(1) Do the sensor exitation test:
(a)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
a) AFCS B SNSR EXC AC
b) AFCS B FCC DC
(b)
Push the INIT REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.
(c)
Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.
(e)
Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
(f)
Push the NEXT PAGE key on the CDU keyboard to show the DFCS BITE TEST OVERNIGHT MAINT 2/2 page.
(g)
Push the LSK adjacent to <GROUND FUNCTIONAL.
NOTE: The CDU display will show TEST IN PROGRESS during the
____ 13-second cross-channel test.
(h)
Follow the CDU instructions until the CDU display shows the CHANNEL SELECTION page.
(i)
Push the LSK adjacent to <CHANNEL A to show the FCC memory contents of channel A.
(j)
Push the LSK adjacent to <TEST SELECTION.
(k)
Use the CDU keyboard to put the library test No. 06 into the scratchpad.
(l)
Push the LSK 6R to put the library test No. 06 on the screen and in the memory.
