A. Do the BITE test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data-System (CIDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-003).
(1) If the test gives a maintenance message, do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
B. Do the test of the service interphone (Ref. AMM TASK 23-44-00-700-001).

4. Fault Isolation

**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 201-299,
A. If the indications in the cockpit and on the attendant panel in use are normal, but no communication is possible with an outboard service interphone station:
- replace the related maintenance interphone jack MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (1RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (4000RJ1) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (4000RJ2), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-44-41-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-44-41-400-003).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between (Ref. ASM 23-44/01):
- the related maintenance interphone jack connector and the CIDS DIRECTOR 1 (101RH) and/or CIDS DIRECTOR 2 (102RH) connectors G7, H7 and J7.
R **ON A/C 106-149, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the indications in the cockpit and on the attendant panel in use are normal, but no communication is possible with an outboard service interphone station:
- replace the related maintenance interphone jack MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (1RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (4000RJ1) or MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (4000RJ2), (Ref. AMM TASK 23-44-41-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-44-41-400-003).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between (Ref. ASM 23-44/01):
- the related maintenance interphone jack connector and the related isolation unit (4RJ) connector 1H (2C).
- the related maintenance interphone jack connector and the related isolation unit (4RJ) connector 1J (2D).
- the related maintenance interphone jack connector and the related isolation unit (4RJ) connector 1G (2B).
