- reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2015VU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001),
- do the steps 4. B. (7) again for the subsequent DEU(s) and DEU mount(s) until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-B (300RH4) and DEU mount 2011VU4, DEU mount 2011VU2,
2 If there is no short circuit:
_
- do a check for a short circuit at the disconnected connector between the pins A/9 and A/10 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
a If there is a short circuit:
_
- repaire the wiring between the related DEU mount 2011VUxx and the DEU mount 2015VUxx/2011VUxx (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
b If there is no short circuit:
_
- install a new DEU mount 2015VU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001).
**ON A/C 301-399,
B. If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test gives the maintenance message CIDS MID BUS R/ DIR1 (101RH):
- make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
- remove the DIR-CIDS (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001),
- close these CBs:
49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/ DIR ESS/ 2,
49VU: 18WH AIR COND/ CIDS/SDF/ DIR 2 ESS,
120VU: 156RH COM NAV/ CIDS/ DIR NORM/ 2,
122VU: 14WH AIR COND/ CIDS/ SDF/ DIR NORM/ 2,
- wait for approx. 120 s,
- do the CIDS2/CIDS Interface and Power-Up Test via the CFDS/MCDU.
(1) If the test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001).
- during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) do not close these CBs: 49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/ DIR ESS/ 2, 49VU: 18WH AIR COND/ CIDS/SDF/ DIR 2 ESS, 120VU: 156RH COM NAV/ CIDS/ DIR NORM/ 2, 122VU: 14WH AIR COND/ CIDS/ SDF/ DIR NORM/ 2,
- install the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the CFDS/MCDU.
(3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

(4) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001)
- open these CBs:
49VU: 153RH COM/CIDS/DEU B/ESS
120VU: 193RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM FWD
2001VU: 194RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM AFT
- make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A14 and connector AA/B14 is between approx. 80 and 140 ohms (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
(5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 140 ohms:
- make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 7 k ohms (short circuit) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A14 and GND, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/B14 and GND. (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
(a) If there is no short circuit:
- remove the DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-000-001)
- install the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DIR-CIDS (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- close these CBs: 49VU: 153RH COM/CIDS/DEU B/ESS 120VU: 193RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM FWD 2001VU: 194RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM AFT
- do the CIDS Interface and Power-up test via the CFDS/MCDU (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-010).
1 If the CIDS POWER-UP test gives the maintenance message DEU-B
_
300RH8:
- install a new DEU-B (300RH8) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
2 If the CIDS POWER-UP test gives the maintenance message CIDS
_
MID BUS R/ DIR1 (101RH):
- install the removed DEU-B (300RH8) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
- do the steps 4. B. (5) (a) again for the subsequent DEU(s) until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-B (300RH6) DEU-B (300RH4)
(b) If there is a short circuit:
- remove the DEU-B (300RH8) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-000-001),
- do a check for a short circuit again.
1 If there is no short circuit:
_
- install a new DEU-B (300RH8) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
