- do the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.
(1) If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001).
- install the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.
(3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(4) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001)
- open these CBs: 49VU: 154RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 1 49VU: 155RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 2 121VU: 167RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L AFT 121VU: 165RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L MID 121VU: 163RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L FWD
- make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/D15 and connector AA/E15 is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
(5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms:
- make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 50 ohms (short circuit) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/D15 and GND, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/E15 and GND. (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
(a) If there is no short circuit:
- remove the DEU-A (200RH25) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)
- install the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DIR-CIDS (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- close these CBs: 49VU: 154RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 1 49VU: 155RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 2 121VU: 167RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L AFT 121VU: 165RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L MID 121VU: 163RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L FWD

2 If the CIDS BITE test gives the maintenance message CIDS TOP

LINE 1 L:
- install the removed DEU-A (200RH25) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
- do the steps 4. B. (5) (a) again for the subsequent DEUs until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-A (200RH21) DEU-A (200RH17) DEU-A (200RH13) DEU-A (200RH9) DEU-A (200RH5) DEU-A (200RH1)
(b) If there is a short circuit:
- remove the DEU-A (200RH25) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)
- do a check for a short circuit again.
1 If there is no short circuit:

- install a new DEU-A (200RH25) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
2 If the fault continues:
_
- disconnect the electrical connector 7253VC3 from the DEU mount 2014VU3 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001).
- do a check for a short circuit again.
a If there is no short circuit:
_
- install a new DEU mount 2014VU3 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001).
b If the fault continues:
_
- remove the DEU-A (200RH21) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001)
- do a check for a short circuit again.
- b.1. If there is no short circuit:
- install a new DEU-A (200RH21) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
- b.2. If the fault continues:
- install the removed DEU-A (200RH25) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001),
- reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU3 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001),

- disconnect the electrical connector 7213VC21 from the DEU mount 2010VU21 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001),
- do a check for a short circuit again.
- b.2.1. If there is no short circuit:
- do a check for a short circuit at the connector 7213VC21 between pin 9 and GND (pin 11) and between pin 10 and GND (pin 11).
- b.2.1.1. If there is a short circuit:
- repair the wiring between the DEU mount 2010VU21 and the DEU mount 2014VU3 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
