A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the audio management system (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-00-710-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the reception at the Captain station is incorrect:
(1) In the boomset:
- check the reception in the headset of the same station:
(a) If the reception in the headset is incorrect:
- replace the AMU (1RN) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from AMU (1RN) pins AA/9G, 9H to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 23-51/02).
(b) If the reception in the headset is correct:
- connect a new boomset to the Captain boomset receptacle (17RN1) on the panel 61VU.

1_ If the fault continues:
- replace the RCPT-BOOMSET, CAPT (17RN1) (Ref. IPC 235108).
2_ If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from Captain boomset
receptacle (17RN1) pins 1 and 2 to the first terminal block
(Ref. ASM 23-51/02).
(2) In the headset:
- check the reception in the boomset of the same station:
(a) If the reception in the boomset is incorrect:
- replace the AMU (1RN) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from AMU (1RN) pins AA/9G, 9H to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 23-51/02).
(b) If the reception in the boomset is correct:
- connect a new headset to the Captain headset jack (18RN1) on the panel 61VU.
1 If the fault continues:
_
- replace the JACK-HEADSET, CAPT (18RN1) (Ref. IPC 235108).
2 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from Captain headset jack (18RN1) pins 1 and 2 to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 23-51/02).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
