- make sure that the resistance (line to line) is not more than 200 ohms (open circuit) between: DEU mount 2014VU4 pin A/1 and pin A/2
(a) If there is an open circuit:
- install a new DEU mount 2014VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001)
(b) If there is no open circuit:
- reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001)
- disconnect the electrical connector 7213VC4 from the DEU mount 2010VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001),
- do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AA/A15 and the connector 7213VC4 pin A/1, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AA/B15 and the connector 7213VC4 pin A/2.
1 If there is no continuity:
_
- repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and the connector 7213VC4 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
2 If there is continuity:
_
- do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between: DEU mount 2010VU4 pin A/1 and pin A/9 , DEU mount 2010VU4 pin A/2 and pin A/10.

_
- install a new DEU mount 2010VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001)
b If there is continuity:
_
- reconnect the connector 7213VC4 to the DEU mount 2010VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001)
- do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU mounts until the maintenance message stops: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU mount 2010VU8/connector 7213VC8, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU mount 2010VU12/connector 7213VC12, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU mount 2010VU18/connector 7213VC18, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU mount 2010VU22/connector 7213VC22, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU mount 2014VU4/connector 7253VC4.
(7) If the resistance (line to line) is less than 80 ohms (short circuit):
- remove the DEU-A (200RH26) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001).
- do a check for a short circuit again.
(a) If there is no short circuit:
- install a new DEU-A (200RH26) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
(b) If there is a short circuit:
- install the removed DEU-A (200RH26) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
- diconnect the electrical connector 7253VC4 from the DEU mount 2014VU4 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06),
- do a check for a short circuit again.
1 If there is a short circuit:
_
- reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU4 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-400-001),
- do the steps 4. B. (7) again for the subsequent DEUs and DEU mounts until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-A (200RH22) and DEU mount 2010VU22, DEU-A (200RH18) and DEU mount 2010VU18, DEU-A (200RH12) and DEU mount 2010VU12, DEU-A (200RH8) and DEU mount 2010VU8, DEU-A (200RH4) and DEU mount 2010VU4.
2 If there is no short circuit:
_
- do a check for a short circuit at the disconnected connector between the pins A/9 and A/10 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
a If there is a short circuit:
_
- repaire the wiring between the related DEU mount 2010VUxx and the DEU mount 2014VUxx/2010VUxx (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).

**ON A/C 301-399,
B. If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test gives the maintenance message CIDS TOP BUS 1R/ DIR1 (101RH)
- remove the DIR-CIDS (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001),
- make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
- close these CBs: 49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/DIR ESS/2, 120VU: 156RH COM NAV/CIDS/DIR NORM /2, 122VU: 14WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR NORM/2, 49VU: 18WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR 2 ESS,
- wait for approx. 120 s,
- do the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.
(1) If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001).
