(1) Do the BITE test of the AMU & ACP (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-00-740-002).
(2) Do the CIDS BITE test (via CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).
(3) Do the test of the PA announcement from the cockpit with the cockpit-boomset/mike (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-710-005).

4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 201-299,
B. If the CIDS BITE test result is no fault message, but an announcement is not possible:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001),
- make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
- close these CBs:
49VU: 150RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 1 & 2/ESS
121VU: 151RH (M05) CIDS/DIR 1 & 2/NORM,
- stop for approx. 120 s,
- make an announcement again.
(1) If an announcement is possible:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If an announcement is not possible:
- replace the cockpit boomset/mike.
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring if necessary between the: DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/A1 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/7E, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/B1 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/7D, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/J1 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/7A, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/K1 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/7B, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/E1 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/7F, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/A2 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/6B, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/B2 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/6A, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/D2 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/6D, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/E2 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/6E, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/F2 and the AMU (1RN) connector AA/6F,

- open these CBs:
49VU: 150RH COM/CIDS/DIR ESS/1,
49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/DIR ESS/2,
49VU: 15WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR 1 ESS,
49VU: 18WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR 2 ESS,
120VU: 151RH COM NAC/CIDS/DIR NORM/1
120VU: 156RH COM NAV/CIDS/DIR NORM/2,
122VU: 14WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR NORM/2,
122VU: 17WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR NORM/1.
- wait for approx. 10 s and close the CBs 156RH, 157RH, 14WH and 18WH
- stop for approx. 120 s,
- make an announcement again.
(1) If an announcement is possible:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If an announcement is not possible:
- replace the cockpit boomset/mike.
(a) If the fault continues:
