- diconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX (309RH2) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06),

Aug 01/05 CES - do a check for a short circuit again.
1 If there is a short circuit:
_
- reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX (309RH2)
- do the steps 4. B. (7) again for the subsequent DEU(s) and DEU CONNECTION BOX(es) until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-B (300RH6) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (308RH6), DEU CONNECTION BOX (308RH2),
2 If there is no short circuit:
_
- do a check for a short circuit at the disconnected connector between the pins A/9 and A/10 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
a If there is a short circuit:
_
- repaire the wiring between the related DEU CONNECTION BOX 308RHxx and the DEU CONNECTION/ TERMINATION BOX 308RHxx/309RHxx (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
b If there is no short circuit:
_
- install a new DEU TERMINATION BOX (309RH2) ((Ref. AMM 23-73-43-400-00100)).
**ON A/C 151-199,
B. If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test gives the maintenance message CIDS MID BUS R:
- make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
- remove the DIR-CIDS (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001),
- close these CBs:
49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS,
121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,
- wait for approx. 120 s,
- do the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test through the CFDS/MCDU.
(1) If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001).
- during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) do not close these CBs: 49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS, 121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,
- install the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the CFDS/MCDU.
(3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:
- install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

(4) If the fault continues:
- remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001)
- open these CBs:
49VU: 153RH COM/CIDS/DEU B/ESS
120VU: 162RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM
- make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A14 and connector AA/B14 is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
(5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms:
- make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 50 ohms (short circuit) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/A14 and GND, DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/B14 and GND. (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
(a) If there is no short circuit:
- remove the DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-000-001)
- install the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DIR-CIDS (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
- close these CBs: 49VU: 153RH COM/CIDS/DEU B/ESS 120VU: 162RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU B/NORM
- do the CIDS BITE test through the CFDS/MCDU (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).
1 If the CIDS BITE test gives the maintenance message DEU-B
_
300RH6:
- install a new DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
2 If the CIDS BITE test gives the maintenance message CIDS MID
_
BUS R:
- install the removed DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
- do the steps 4. B. (5) (a) again for the subsequent DEU(s) until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-B (300RH4)
(b) If there is a short circuit:
- remove the DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-000-001),
- do a check for a short circuit again.
1 If there is no short circuit:
_
- install a new DEU-B (300RH6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-47-400-001).
2 If the fault continues:
_
- disconnect the electrical connector 7247VC2 from the DEU mount 2015VU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-48-000-001).
