 - reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2),

 - disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2),

 - do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between: DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AA/A15 and the connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) pin A/2, DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AA/B15 and the connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) pin A/2.

 1 If there is no continuity:
_
 - repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and the connector of the DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
 2 If there is continuity:
_
 - do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between: DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) pin A/1 and pin A/9 , DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) pin A/2 and pin A/10.
 a If there is no continuity:
_
 - install a new DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-42-400-001).
 b If there is continuity:
_
 - reconnect the connector DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2).

 - do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops: DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH4), DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH8), DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH12), DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14), DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2),

 (7) If the resistance (line to line) is less than 80 ohms (short circuit):
 - remove the DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001).

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 (a) If there is no short circuit:

 - install a new DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).

 (b) If there is a short circuit:

 - install the removed DEU-A (200RH16) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).

 - disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2) (Ref. ASM 23-73/06),

 - do a check for a short circuit again.

 1 If there is a short circuit:
_
 - reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2),

 - do the steps 4. B. (7) again for the subsequent DEUs and DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops: (Ref. ASM 23-73/06) DEU-A (200RH14) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH14), DEU-A (200RH12) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH12), DEU-A (200RH8) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH8), DEU-A (200RH4) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH4), DEU-A (200RH2) and DEU CONNECTION BOX (208RH2),

 2 If there is no short circuit:
_
 - do a check for a short circuit at the disconnected connector between the pins A/9 and A/10 (Ref. ASM 23-73/06)
 a If there is a short circuit:
_
 - repair the wiring between the related DEU CONNECTION BOX 208RHxx and the DEU CONNECTION/ TERMINATION BOX 208/209RHxx (Ref. ASM 23-73/06).
 b If there is no short circuit:
_
 - install a new DEU TERMINATION BOX (209RH2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-43-400-001).
 **ON A/C 151-199,
 B. If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test gives the maintenance message TOP LINE 1R:
 - remove the DIR-CIDS (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001),

 - make sure that at least one cabin door is open,

 - close these CBs:
 49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS,
 121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,

 - wait for approx. 120 s,

 - do the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.

 (1) If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test is OK:
 - install a new DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

 (2) If the fault continues:

 - remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-000-001).

 - during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) do not close these CBs: 49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS, 121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,

 - install the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).

 - do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.

 (3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:

 - install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 (102RH) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-34-400-001).
