AFT FIXED FAIRING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. Description

**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 201-212,
(Ref. Fig. 001)
R **ON A/C 106-149, 213-299, 301-399, 401-499,

**ON A/C ALL
The fixed fairing is attached at two points to the pylon box at RIB10 and
one point to the wing at rear false spar.
The fixed fairing is composed of:
-six ribs made of light alloy sheet
-two skin panels made of light alloy sheet
-three longitudinal "members" made of light alloy sheet
-two access panels made of carbon and honeycomb (sandwich panel).
All the access panels are bolted.
Standard attachement is made by aluminum alloy rivets.

B. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4)
Obey the safety procedures of the hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002)
