D. Installation of the Forward Lower Fairing
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 54-56-00-991-001)
(1) Put the centering pins in position and install the forwaed lower fairing (3):
(a)
For the left pylon: 473AR and 473AL
(b)
For the right pylon: 483AR and 483AL.
(2) Install the washers (1), the screws (2) and tighten. Subtask 54-56-00-220-052
E. Check of Clearance
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 54-56-00-991-002)
(1) Measure the out-of-flush clearances A1 and A2 between the primary structure and the fairings and between the forwad lower fairing and the center lower fairing.
(a)
A1 = 0 +1 -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0393 -0.0393 in.)
(b)
A2 = 0 +1.5 -1.5 mm (0.0000 +0.0590 -0.0590 in.)

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

Install these panels :
(a)
For the left pylon 475AL, 476AR
(b)
For the right pylon 485AL, 486AR
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4)
Remove the warning notice(s).

R A. Safety Precautions
R (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
R (a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
R (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5
R minutes before you do this procedure.
R (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
R (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2)
R pushbutton switch is off.
R (b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC
R 1(2).
