PYLON-TO-NACELLE JUNCTION - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. Description___________

R The pylon-to-nacelle junction is made of:
- two aprons
- a transition fairing
- a front radial firewall
- rear radial firewall
R - fan-cowl hinge fittings at RIB01, RIB03 and RIB05
R - fan thrust-reverser cowl hinge fittings.
R These junction items are made of stainless steel.
R Monel rivets and corrosion-resistant steel bolts are used for attachment.

A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
R R (b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
