A. Removal of the Pylon Rear Attachment
(Ref. Fig. 406/TASK 54-51-17-991-013)
CAUTION : DO NOT DAMAGE THE REAR BEARING ATTACHMENT WHEN YOU REMOVE THE
_______
BEARING.
(1)
Bend the tab washer (2) to release the slotted nut (1).
(2)
Hold the bearing (4) with the CASTELLATED WRENCH (98D54003006202) and use the CASTELLATED WRENCH (98D54003006200) to remove the nut (1).
(3)
Remove and discard the tab washer (2).
(4)
Remove the bearing (4) with CASTELLATED WRENCH (98D54003006202).
(5)
Discard the bearing (4).

A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the engine (1) and (2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2)
Make sure that a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine.
(3)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off, and put a warning notice to tell persons not to use it.
(4)
Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (on legend OFF) and install a warning notice to tell persons not to use it.
(5)
Make sure that the fuel safety procedure instruction are obeyed (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(6)
Make sure that the thrust reverser is unservicable (Ref. TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

A. Preparation before Installation

WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Clean the parts retained from the removed component with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(2)
Before installation, make sure that the tab washer (2) is in the correct condition. If necessary, replace the tab washer (2).
