(5) Do a check of the running torque and of the breakaway torque:
(a)
Install the nuts (7) and (8) on the bolts (3) and (4).
(b)
With a torque wrench calibrated to 3.4 m.daN (25.07 lbf.ft) for the nut (7) and calibrated to 4.5 m.daN (33.18 lbf.ft) for the nut (8):
-Measure the running torque necessary to tighten the nuts (7) and (8) until two threads minimum show out of the nuts (7) and (8).
(c)
If the running torque is more than:
-3.4 m.daN (25.0737 lbf.ft) for the nut (7), replace the nut (7).
-4.5 m.daN (33.1858 lbf.ft) for the nut (8), replace the nut (8).
(d)
Loosen the nuts (7) and (8).
(e)
With a torque wrench calibrated to 0.36 m.daN (31.85 lbf.in) for the nut (7) and to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in) for the nut (8):
-Measure the breakaway torque necessary to loosen the nuts (7) and (8).
(f)
If the breakaway torque is less than:
-0.36 m.daN (31.8584 lbf.in) for the nut (7), replace the nut
(7)
-0.56 m.daN (49.5575 lbf.in) for the nut (8),
replace the nut (8).
(g)
Do the same for the other nut (7) and (8).
