Put the access platform in position.

Remove the access panels:

For the left pylon: 471AL, 472AR, 414FR 521BT, 521HB.
(b)
For the right pylon: 481AL, 482AR, 423FL 621BT, 621HB.

F. Removal of the Temperature Sensor and the Rods
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 54-51-17-991-001, 402/TASK 54-51-17-991-012)
(1)
Disconnect the temperature sensor (6) :

for the left pylon : 6HA1
-
for the right pylon : 6HA2
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Remove the cotter pins (1) and discard them.
(4) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3), the bolts (4) and the rods (5). Subtask 54-51-17-020-056
G. Disconnection of the Fuel/Defuel System at RIB09.

Remove the nut (6), the bolts (7) and the ring retainer (5).
(2)
Remove the nuts (10), the bolts (9) and disconnect the bonding braids (1).
(3)
Loosen the clamp (16).
(4)
Remove the O-rings (15) and discard it.
(5)
Remove the lockwire from the connector (12) discard it and loosen the connector (12).
(6)
Remove the ring-retainer (3), (4).
(7)
Remove the nut (2), (13).
(8)
Remove the O-ring (11), (14).
(9)
Remove the clamp (16) from the sleeve (8).

4. Procedure

Subtask 54-51-17-481-050
A. Installation of a Dynamometric Cell and Jack
(1)
Install the ADAPTOR - DYNAMOMETRIC AT RIB 1 (98A54403024001) on the jack.
(2)
Put the jack in position under the attach fitting at RIB1. Intall a dynamometric cell on the jack and apply an upper force of 300 +100 -100 kg (661.3866 +220.4622 -220.4622 lb).

B. Removal of the Pylon-to-Wing Forward Attach Fitting.
(Ref. Fig. 404/TASK 54-51-17-991-005)
NOTE : If the time that is necessary to finish this task is more than one
____ hour, you must install the DUMMY SHACKLES - PYLON TO WING YOKES (98D54403000000) and the DUMMY SLEEVES - PYLON TO WING YOKES (98D54403001000).
(1)
Remove the cotter pins (28) and discard them.
(2)
Lock the bolt (23) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) and remove the nut (27) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000).
(3)
Remove the bolt (23).
(4)
Release the nut (26), lock the sleeve (24), with an special wrench. Remove the nut (26) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000).
