R (1) Measure the clearance J1:
R (a) Make sure that the clearance J1 is 3.1 +1 -1 mm (0.1220 +0.0393 -
R 0.0393 in.) between the aft lower fairing and the bottom lower
R fairng.
R (2) Measure the out-of-flush dimensions A1 and A2 between the aft lower
R fairing and the bottom lower fairing.
R - A1 = 0 +1 -1 mm (0.0000 +0.0393 -0.0393 in.)
R - A2 = 0 +1.5 -1.5 mm (0.0000 +0.0590 -0.0590 in.)

A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Put the access platform in position:
(a) In the zone 470 for the left pylon.

C. Removal of Component
(1) Remove these panels:

(b)
For the right pylon: 483AL, 483AR.
