Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

On the overheat maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC.

Open the thrust reverser doors (Ref. TASK 78-36-00-010-040) FOR 1000EM1 451AL, 452AR FOR 1000EM2 461AL, 462AR.
(3)
Put an access platform in position at the zone 415 (425) .

(1) Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) if, necessary.

Do a detailed inspection of the bottom surface of the top spar of the pylon, forward of RIB1.
(2)
Make sure that there is no:

-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200-P.Block001) for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks dents, bumps,...):
