A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.

Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put the warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Removal of the Components
(1)
Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. TASK 71-13-11-000-040).
(2)
Remove the thrust reverser cowl doors (Ref. TASK 78-32-11-000-040).
(3) Remove the power plant (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-000-042).

C. Get Access
(1) Put an access platform in position:
(a) At zone 410 for the left pylon.
(b) At zone 420 for the right pylon. R (2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. TASK 54-51-21-000-001):

For the left pylon: 415BL, 415BR.
-
For the right pylon: 425BL, 425BR.
(3) Remove the panels:
-
For the left pylon: 473AL, 473AR.
-
For the right pylon: 483AL, 483AR.

Remove the nuts (1) and discard them. Remove the washers (2).
