A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
R (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC. Subtask 54-51-00-010-066
B. Get Access R (1) Put an access platform in position at zone 415 (425). R (2) Remove the access panels:
(a)
For the left pylon: 471AL, 471BL, 471CL, 472AR, 472BR.
(b)
For the right pylon: 481AL, 481BL, 482AR, 482BR, 482CR.

(1) Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), if necessary.

Do a detailed inspection of the top spar of the pylon between RIB4 and RIB10. This inspection is applicable to the areas of the fasteners at the junction with the lateral panel, left and right sides.
