NOTE : Remove the right pressure-relief door if the left pressure-relief

3. Job Set-up

A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. TASK 78-30-00-481-041). Subtask 54-52-00-010-051
C. Get Access
(1)
Put an access platform in position:
(a)
At zone 410 for the left pylon.
(b)
At zone 420 for the right pylon.
(2)
Remove these access doors :
(a)
For the left pylon: 413DL, 413CL, 414CR.
(b)
For the right pylon: 423DL, 423CL, 424CR.
4. Procedure

A. Deactivation of the Pressure Relief Door
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 54-52-00-991-003)
NOTE : Each pressure-relief door deactivation is symmetrical.

(1)
Open the pressure relief door (1) or (2).
(2)
Remove the spring (11).
(3)
Remove the cotter pins (9) and discard them.
(4)
Remove the washers (6), the pin (10) and the shims (7) and (8).
(5)
Remove the nut (5), the bolt (12) and the washer (13).
(6)
Remove the shims (14), (15), (3) and (4).
(7)
Remove the nut (21), the bolt (17) and the washers (16) and (18).
(8)
Remove the shims (19) and (20).
(9)
Remove the pressure relief door (1) or (2).
