Procedure - Upper Window Removal

CAUTION: IF YOU INSTALL THE WINDOWS, YOU MUST INSTALL A PROTECTIVE COVER
_______ TO THE SURFACES. DO NOT COVER THE AREAS WHICH TOUCH THE GASKETS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL A PROTECTIVE COVER TO THE SURFACES, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE WHEN MOVE THEM.
(1)
Apply a protective cover until you have access to the surfaces of the window.

(2)
Attach the cover with the masking tape if it is necessary.

(3)
Remove the 4 bolts from the retention plate of the upper window on the floor of the control cabin.

(4)
Remove the upper window and the gaskets.

Clean the inner side of the viewer tube with the aliphatic naphtha or freon.

If the window is installed, clean the upper window with the castile soap.
E. Procedure - Install the upper window.

Install the upper window with a gasket on each side.

(2)
Install the retention plate on top of the window with the 4 bolts.

Remove the protective cover from the window.
F. Procedure - Remove the lower window.

Remove the 8 bolts on the retention ring of the lower window on the top of the nose wheel well.

Remove the retention ring.
(5)
Remove the gaskets.
