3. Fairing Compound - Approved Repairs___________________________________
A. General
(1) If you must repair a large part of the fairing compound surface, the installed fairing compound must be a flat plane within 0.00 |0.03 inch around the edge of the window. To do this, you can use a faceplate. The surface of the faceplate must be the same as that of the replacement window. You will use a clamp or the bolts to install it. To repair very small areas, you must make the compound as smooth as possible with a hand tool.
