WINDOW NO. 2 (PILOTS' SLIDING WINDOW) - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the window No. 2.
(1)
The removal procedure has these parts:
(a)
The removal of electrical power
(b)
The removal of the rollers from the tracks
(c)
The removal of the electrical leads for the window heat system.
(2)
The installation procedure has these parts:
(a)
A check of the window adjustment
(b)
The connection of the electrical leads for the window heat system
(c)
The installation of the rollers into the tracks
(d)
A check of the window adjustment.

2. Window No. 2 (Pilots' Sliding Window) Removal_____________________________________________
A. Access
(1) Location Zone
101, 102 Control Cabin
B. Prepare for the Window No. 2 Removal.

WARNING:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE WINDOW NO. 2. THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE OF THE AUTOTRANSFORMER IS 250-350 VOLTS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Make sure that the power is off in the window heat system.
(a)
Make sure that the window heat switches are in the OFF position.
(b)
Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P6-12 panel a) WINDOW ANTI-ICE R
2) P6-11 panel
a) WINDOW ANTI-ICE L
C. Remove the Window No. 2 (Fig. 401)

(1)
Unlock the window No. 2.
S 984-003-B00
(2)
Move the window aft until the aft lower roller (10) is approximately
2.50 inches from the locked open stop (8).
