WARNING:_______BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE THE ALIPHATIC NAPHTHA. ALIPHATIC NAPHTHA IS FLAMMABLE AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Clean these surfaces with the aliphatic naphtha:
NOTE: Use a clean cheesecloth to apply aliphatic naphtha and a
____ clean cheesecloth to remove it. Do not permit the aliphatic naphtha to dry on the surfaces. Clean the surfaces until there is no remaining layer of soil or naphtha. Be careful not to cause damage to or change the shape of the mating surfaces.

(1)
Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the bolt shanks
immediately before you install them.

(2)
Install the window in the frame:
(a)
Install the retaining bolts.
(b)
Install the rubber cushion strip, the metal backing plate and the support clip.
(c)
Install the self-locking hex head nuts and tighten by hand at this time.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TIGHTEN THE BOLTS MORE THAN THE
_______ SPECIFIED TORQUE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(d) Tighten each nut 20 to 25 pound-inches.
NOTE: Use a sequence which goes in a diagonal pattern.
____ The rubber cushion strip absorbs the pressure from the torque. Make sure that the torque is correct. Pressurized flight will push all windows you installed into its frame. If the initial pressurization causes leakage, do a check of the nuts which attach the window. All loose nuts must be tightened to a torque of not more than 5 pound-inches, with the checknuts removed. If you apply a torque of more than 5 pound-inches, you can cause damage. Replace and tighten the checknuts, while you hold the attach nuts. You will not need to tighten the nuts more unless water or air leaks occur. In this case, tighten the attach nuts to a torque of not more than 5 pound-inches. For the self-locking attach nuts, 5 pound-inches is torque more than the run-on torque for the nut.
