(b) Use a clean cheesecloth to rub the surfaces before the solvent is dry.

Apply a constant layer of RTV 174 adhesive on one or both surfaces you will bond on the mirror, the rubber backing, and the mirror retainer.

Bond the surfaces after you apply the adhesive.
NOTE: If you let the adhesive be open to the air for more than 3
____ minutes it will make a skin which prevents adhesion.

(6) Use sufficient pressure to make sure that the two surfaces touch.
NOTE: Do not cause too much unwanted adhesive to move out from
____ between the surfaces. A bond line thickness of at least 15 mils gives the best result.
E. Install the Downlock Viewer for the Main Landing Gear (Fig. 201)

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE WINDOW RUBBER SEAL IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION.
_______ MAKE SURE A CLEAN PROTECTIVE COVER IS ONLY ON THE TOP VIEWING SURFACE OF THE WINDOW. DAMAGE TO THE WINDOW CAN EASILY OCCUR.

Install the viewer window with the rubber seal on the top surface of the ring on top of the viewer tube.

Attach the window and seal to the top ring of tube with the retainer ring, washers, and bolts.
(3)
Tighten the bolts slowly in a criss-cross pattern.

(4) Make sure that the seal is pressure tight and no damage occurs to
the glass window.

(5) Remove the protective cover from the window and install the floor
panel on the pressure web structure.

(6) Install the viewer cover and the tape hinge.
NOTE:____ The above steps are necessary only if you will install a
replacement window or window seal or you cleaned the window.

If you removed the mirror, rubber backing or mirror retainer from the mirror bracket, install these items on the mirror bracket with the washers and the screws.

Before installation, remove the protective covers from the mirrors.

Clean each mirror with warm water and soap with the cheesecloth.

Flush the mirror with clean water.

Align the guide pin on the bottom plate with the pin hole in the lower ring of the viewer tube.

Install the washers and the screws.

Put the passenger cabin aisle rugs on the floor panel and use the tape to hold them in their position.
