3  TEST  DIELECTRIC TEST  - 1  DO DIELECTRIC LEAK TEST (c), (d) (NOT SHOWN)

SECURE PROBE IN PLACE BY USING THE EXPANDING ADJUSTMENT KNOB.

ENSURE LEAD WIRE IS IN CONTACT WITH HEAT TERMINAL THREADS.

(c)  
DO THE DIELECTRIC LEAD TEST USING 2500 VOLTS RMS, 60Hz, HOLD VOLTAGE AT 2500 VOLTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 SECONDS.

(d)  
IF LEAKAGE IS 5 MILLIAMPERES OR GREATER THE WINDOW MUST BE REPLACED.

(e)  
IF LEAKAGE IS LESS THAN 5 MILLIAMPERES CONTINUE WITH REMAINDER OF RETROFIT INSTRUCTIONS. IF LEAKAGE IS 5 MILLIAMPERES OR GREATER THE WINDOW MUST BE REPLACED.

NOTE:THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU CAN TIGHTEN THE FASTENERS FOR THE WINDOW. ANY PATTERN THAT IS ALMOST THE SAME IS PERMITTED. FIRST ATTACH THE WINDOW AT AS MANY POINTS THAT ARE OPPOSITE ON THE WINDOW. DO THIS AS EARLY IN THE FASTENER TORQUE SEQUENCE AS POSSIBLE.

CONTINUE IN THIS PATTERN. ALWAYS GO TO A
FASTENER THAT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF TWO
INSTALLED FASTENERS. YOU MUST GO TO A SIDE
OTHER THAN THE SIDE ON WHICH A FASTENER WAS
JUST TIGHTENED.
