(8) Examine the middle pane for warps or deformations.
NOTE: Warps or deformations usually occur in the middle pane where
____ the retaining clips are installed. Warps or deformations are waviness, twists, or bends in the window pane.
The window does not have to be replaced if it has warps or deformations unless the warps or deformations have an effect on the pressure seal.

1. General_______
A. Passenger Cabin Windows
(1)
Repairs with windows installed in the airplane are contained in this task. For window repairs on the bench, which includes repairs to the bevel edge and the seal plane, refer to Component Maintenance Manual, CMM 56-21-51.
(2)
You can sand, polish, or buff to remove damage in the passenger compartment windows. The damage conditions and limits are shown in the Passenger Windows - Inspection/Check.
(3)
To prevent more damage to the window wear clean cotton gloves.
(4)
Use only approved materials.
(5)
Make sure not to cause scratches to the window surface with finger rings or other sharp objects.
