(6) Make sure handle is secure to window assembly.
(a) If necessary, adjust trigger pin to desired position and apply adequate amount of Loctite to secure into place.

Do this task: "Window No. 2 Removal" (Ref 56-12-11/401).

Adjust the horizontal position of the window if it is necessary: NOTE: The clearance must be 0.06 |0.03 inch.

(a) Move the guide pin (18) to get the specified clearance:
1) Loosen the attachment bolts (19) which attach the guide pin (18) to the serrated plate (20).
NOTE: Lift the bulb pressure seal (17) out of the groove
____ in the window rim to get access to the countersunk bolt.
2) Move the guide pin (18) forward or aft on the serrated plate (20).
NOTE: There are 28 VEE slots per inch on the serrated
____ plate, 0.036 inch per slot. 3) Tighten the bolts (19) on the guide pin (18). S 825-009-B00
(3) Adjust the force necessary to close the window if it is necessary: NOTE: The force necessary to close the window must be 45 |15

pounds.
(a) Loosen the attachment bolts (14 and 19) which attach the three control housings (4, 6 and 23) to the window rim.
NOTE: Pull the bulb pressure seal (17) out of the groove in
____ the window rim to get access to the countersunk bolt.
(b) Pull out the bolts and gently pull the housing from the window rim and corner fitting to get access to the shims (13 or 21).

(c) Add or remove shims (13 or 21) as it is necessary to get the correct force.
NOTE: You must remove shims to decrease the force or add shims

to increase the force.
To adjust the force necessary to close the window you must add or remove the same number of shims at all three control housings.
Wet install attachment bolts in upper control housing (4) and laminated shims (13). Coat shank and under head of attachment bolt (14) with BMS 5-95 Class B, One-half Sealant before final installation.
(d)
Install control housings (6) and (23).
(e)
Install upper control housing (4).
