If you do not replace the cracked wing and engine scan light, you can do an alternative repair as follows:
(a)
Clean the surface of the wing and engine scan-light lens with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with warm soap solution.
(b)
Dry the surface of the wing and engine scan-light lens with a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(c)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-065) to cover the crack(s).
NOTE : Make sure that the tape is correctly installed and has no
____ bubbles, wrinkles or tears in it.
(d) Let the tape cure for 15 minutes minimum at a minimum temperature of 15 deg.C (59.00 deg.F).
(3) If it is not necessary to replace the wing and engine scan light , write in the aircraft technical log that the wing and engine scan light is damaged.
