Make sure that the filament of the lamp and the lens are in the correct condition.
R R (4) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (5) and from the support.
R R (5) Make sure that the electrical connector (5) is in the correct condition.
R (6) Connect the electrical connector (5) to its support.
R R (7) Put the optical unit (4) in position on its support (3). Hold it in this position.
R (8) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (1).
R R (9) Install the optical unit (4) with the two screws (1) and the washers (2).
R (10) Adjust the turnoff light (Ref. TASK 33-43-11-730-001).

A. Removal of the Lamp
(1)
For the lamp (4):
(a)
Remove the screw (1).
(b)
Remove the retainer (2).
(c)
If the gasket (3) on the retainer (2) is defective, remove and discard it.
(d)
Pull the lamp (4) away from the support (6) and disconnect the two electrical terminals (5).
(e)
Remove the lamp (4).
(2)
For the lamp (4) (alternate configuration):
(a)
Remove the screw (8), the washer (7) and the insulating washer (9).
(b)
Remove the retainer (2).
(c)
Pull the lamp (4) away from the support (6).
(d)
Disconnect the two electrical terminals (5).
