D. Test of the forward and rear emergency-exit door switches of the
emergency-exit escape-slide lighting.
WARNING : BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
_______
-
THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
-
THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXITS.
_______
NOTE : Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on the SIGNS panel 25VU
____ is in the OFF position. This test is for the forward RH/LH emergency-exit doors. For the rear RH/LH emergency-exit doors use the information in the brackets.

(1) Do the test of the forward and rear emergency-exit door switches of the emergency-exit escape-slide lighting.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. On the aircraft:
-make sure that the related
emergency-exit door is closed.
2.
In the cockpit, on the overhead circuit breaker panel 49VU: - open the circuit breakers,
LIGHTING EMER LT CABIN, 1WL and
2WL.
3.
In the cockpit, on the secondary circuit breaker panel 122VU: - open the circuit breaker, CABIN
EMER LT, 3WL.
4.
In Zone 231 (251), on the emergency power-supply unit 15WL (11WL):
-remove the electrical connector
15WL-A (11WL-A).
5.
On the DGTL multimeter:
-connect the positive test lead
of the DGTL multimeter to pin C
(S) of the connector 15WL-A
(11WL-A),
-connect the negative test lead
of the DGTL multimeter to pin m
of the connector 15WL-A
(11WL-A).
-set the DGTL multimeter to the
kilo ohm range.
NOTE : The closed circuit is in the kilo ohm range because the door switches
____
are electronic types.
6. On the forward (rear) left In Zone 231 (251) on the DGTL emergency-exit door: multimeter:
1EFF : 301-399, 1 33-51-00Page 556 1 1 Aug 01/05R 1 1 1CES 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-remove the safety pin from the control handle of the escape slide.
-
set the slide control handle to the ARMED position.
-
set the slide control handle to the DISARMED position.
-install the safety pin in the control handle of the escape slide.
7. On the DGTL multimeter:
-connect the positive test lead of the DGTL multimeter to pin D
(k) of the connector 15WL-A (11WL-A),
-connect the negative test lead of the DGTL multimeter to pin m of the connector 15WL-A (11WL-A).
8. On the forward (rear) left emergency-exit door:
-lift the door handle approximately 10.0 mm (0.3937 in.), but do not open the emergency-exit door.
-lock the door handle.
9. On the DGTL multimeter:
-disconnect the testleads and remove the DGTL multimeter.
