R  breaker 2LR. A ground signal for the power control relay 6LC is available 
R  from the landing gear computer. 
R  The ground signal is connected, when the nose landing gear is locked down. 
R  The power control relay 6LC and the control switch 2LC get power when the 
R  busbars are energized and the circuit breakers are closed. The runway 
R  turnoff lights come on when the switch 2LC is in the RWY TURN OFF position. 
R  When the nose landing gear is unlocked, the ground signal for the power 
R  control relay is disconnected. The runway turnoff lights 3LC1 and 3LC2 go 
R  off.

 (1) Put a warning notice in position on the EXT LT section of the overhead panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate the runway turnoff lights.

 A. Deactivation of the Runway Turnoff Light
 CAUTION : IF THE LAMP IS REMOVED, SAFETY THE WIRES WITH HIGH-SPEED TAPE.

 (1)
 You must remove (Ref. TASK 33-43-11-000-001) or replace (Ref. TASK 33-43-11-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 33-43-11-400-001) the runway turnoff light if there are these two conditions:

 -
if there are cracks on the front face, and

 -
if there is movement of the parts of the front glass (the supporting structure does not hold them tightly).

 

 (2)
 If you do not remove or replace the cracked runway turnoff-light, you can do an alternative repair as follows:

 (a)
 Clean the surface of the runway turnoff-light lens with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with warm soap solution.

 (b)
 Dry the surface of the runway turnoff-light lens with a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).

 (c)
 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-065) to cover the crack(s).

 

 

 NOTE : Make sure that the tape is correctly installed and has no
____ bubbles, wrinkles or tears in it.
 (d) Let the tape cure for 15 minutes minimum at a minimum temperature of 15 deg.C (59.00 deg.F).
 (3) If it is not necessary to replace the runway turnoff light, write in the aircraft technical log that the runway turnoff light is damaged.
 5. Close-up

 A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1LC1, 1LC2.

 B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.

 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Remove the warning notice(s).
