 (3)  S 085-010Remove the electrical connector from the TAT probe.
 (4)  S 225-012Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor elements between pins 3 and 4, and 2 and 5.
 (5)  S 705-014Make sure that the resistance you measure agrees with the value on the temperature resistance graph (Fig. 501).
 (6)  S 225-016Measure the resistance from pins 3 or 4 and 2 or 5 to the temperature probe case.
 (7)  S 705-018Make sure the resistance is larger than 10 megaohms.
 (8)  S 225-020Measure the resistance of the heater element between pins 1 and 6.

 2) A9, COMPUTER-1 (26V AC)

 (b)  
P6 Load Control Center
 1) B6, COMPUTER-2 26V AC
 2) B7, COMPUTER-2 AC

 (3)  Open these circuit breaker and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P18 Load Control Center
 1) C1, CAPT UPPER L
 2) C4, F/O LWR L
 3) D2, ELEVATOR PITOT L
 4) D5, ALPHA VANE HTR L

 (1) Make a note of the TAT value.
 S 865-045
 WARNING:_______DO NOT TOUCH TEMPERATURE PROBE WHILE HEATER IS ON. PROBE TEMPERATURE IN STILL AIR MAY EXCEED 200°F (94°C). HEATERS MAY BE TESTED FOR OPERATION BY FEELING FOR HEAT RADIATION IN THE NEAR VICINITY OF THE PROBE TO AVOID POSSIBILITY OF PERSONNEL BEING BURNED.
 CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE HEATER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES WHILE AIRPLANE IS
_______ ON THE GROUND. EXTENDED OPERATION MAY SHORTEN HEATER LIFE.
 (2)  Put the PITOT STATIC HEAT A switch on the pilots overhead panel, P5, to ON. (a) Make sure the light on the TEMP PROBE indicator goes off.
 (3)  S 215-037Make sure the TAT value increases after a sufficient amount of time.
 (4)  S 865-042Put the PITOT STATIC HEAT A switch to OFF.
 (5)  S 865-043Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P18 Load Control Center 1) C1, CAPT UPPER L 2) C4, F/O LWR L 3) D2, ELEVATOR PITOT L 4) D5, ALPHA VANE HTR L
