(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

P18 Load Control Center
1) A8, COMPUTER-1 AC
2) A9, COMPUTER-1 (26V AC)
(b)
P6 Load Control Center
1) B6, COMPUTER-2 26V AC
2) B7, COMPUTER-2 AC

(2) Open the applicable circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P18 Load Control Center
1) B8, ALTM (26V AC)
(b)
P6 Load Control Center
1) B4, ALTM-2 26V AC
(c)
P41 5-Volt Lighting Main Instrument Panel 1) CAPT'S PNL LTG
(d)
P42 5-Volt Lighting Main Instrument Panel 1) F/O'S PNL LTG

(3) Remove the Altimeter
(a) Loosen the two adjustment screws adjacent to the indicator (Fig. 401).

CAUTION: CAREFULLY PULL THE INDICATOR FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
_______ TOO MUCH FORCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE ON THE REAR OF THE INDICATOR.
(b)
Pull the indicator from the instrument panel.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the indicator.
(d)
Put dust caps on the electrical connections.

Remove the dust caps from the electrical connections.
(b)
Connect the electrical connector at the rear of the indicator.

(c) (d) Put the indicator into the instrument panel.Tighten the two adjustment screws adjacent to the indicator (Fig. 401).
(4) S 864-022Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(5) S 864-023Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P18 Load Control Center 1) A8, COMPUTER-1 AC 2) A9, COMPUTER-1 (26V AC) (b) P6 Load Control Center 1) B6, COMPUTER-2 26V AC 2) B7, COMPUTER-2 AC
(6) S 864-024Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close the applicable circuit breakers: (a) P18 Load Control Center 1) B8, ALTM (26V AC) (b) P6 Load Control Center 1) B4, ALTM-2 26V AC (c) P41 5-Volt Lighting Main Instrument Panel 1) CAPT'S PNL LTG (d) P42 5-Volt Lighting Main Instrument Panel 1) F/O'S PNL LTG
(7) S 864-025Make sure the OFF flag does not show on the indicator.
(8) S 864-026Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
