 C.  During the airplane descent, when the radio altitude reaches the selected DH value, the DH alert circuity will be set. This causes the DH readout on the EADI to change color and start flashing.
 D.  The DH alert circuit can be reset, if one of the following conditions are satisfied:
 (1)
Radio altitude value equals zero.

 (2)
Radio altitude value increases to 75 feet above the DH value.

 (3)
By pressing RST (reset) switch on the EFIS control panel.


 18. EFIS - FCC/MCP Interface (Fig. 13)

 A.  The Flight Control Computers (FCCs) provide inputs to the EFIS symbol generators. Two separate ARINC 429 digital data buses, one from each FCC, are inputs to each symbol generator.
 B.  Each EFIS symbol generator receives the following data from the onside FCC:
 (1)
Selected heading or selected course

 (2)
Flight director ON/OFF discrete

 (3)
Flight director Pitch/Roll bar drive signals

 (4)
Localizer/glide slope deviation warning discretes


 C.  If the selected heading or selected course data from an FCC becomes invalid, the symbol generator will automatically receive the data from the onside DFCS mode control panel (MCP).
 D.  If the VHF NAV transfer switch is placed in BOTH ON 1 position, both EFIS symbol generators will use the selected course No. 1 value being received from FCC-A. Similarly, if BOTH ON 2 position is selected, both symbol generators will use the selected course No. 2 value being received from FCC-B.
 E.  For autopilot operation, the first FCC engaged in the command mode is considered the master, and the remaining FCCs are considered the slave. If the flight director and the autopilot are both off, then FCC-A is considered the master. The MCP will indicate the master FCC by displaying MA.
 F.  Both EFIS symbol generators use the airspeed bug drive value, as well as the DFCS mode and status data from the master FCC.
 19. EFIS - Autothrottle Interface (Fig. 14)

 A.  The autothrottle computer (A/T) provides inputs to the EFIS symbol generator. The data are transmitted on an ARINC 429 low speed digital data bus. An "A/T installed" discrete signal is also provided to each symbol generator. This is to indicate that an autothrottle computer is installed on the airplane.
 B.  Each symbol generator transmits the autothrottle mode data for display on the onside EADI. In addition, during the takeoff phase, when the throttle position is stopped, a throttle hold discrete will be received by the symbol generator. This will cause the THR HLD annunciation to appear on the EADIs.
 C.  The fast/slow command signal is also provided by the autothrottle computer for display on the EADI.
 20. EFIS - ADF Interface (Fig. 15)

 A.  The Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) provides inputs to the EFIS symbol generators. The signals received by each symbol generator are:
