_______ POWER TO THE PITOT-STATIC PROBE HEATERS. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PITOT-STATIC PROBES.

 Make sure that the pitot-static probe heat is off during the test.

 (14)
 Make sure that the autopilot system is off during the test.

 (15)
 Make that the seals that you use on the static ports do not extend into the port.

 (16)
 Make sure that the surfaces around the static ports are not damaged when you remove the seals.

 (17)
 Make sure that you install flow restrictors between the cutoff valve and the pitot-static system.

 2. The Pitot-Static System Full-Range Leak Test

 A. Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1)  
Air data test set, Druck ADTS405F, Druck Ltd. (Vendor Code 0R667), Leicester, England; or equivalent

 (2)  
Pitot-static probe adapter kit, P/N AD-953-7, Nav-Aids Ltd., Montreal, Canada; or equivalent

 (3)  
Flow restrictors, control valves, cutoff valves, and pressure tape as required


 NOTE: Flow Restrictors, Control Valves, and Cutoff Valves must be
____ contained in the Air data test set listed above.

 D. Prepare for the Test
 S 865-002
 (1)
Remove the drain fitting caps from the pitot-static system drains.

 (2)  
Disconnect the cabin altitude differential pressure indicator from the static pressure source.

Put a cap on the pressure source.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 WARNING:_______YOU MUST OPEN THE FLAP LOAD RELIEF CIRCUIT BREAKER. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (5)  Open the FLAP LOAD RELIEF circuit breaker on the load control panel P6.

 CAUTION: YOU MUST OPEN THE DIGITAL STALL WARNING COMPUTER (DSWC) CIRCUIT
_______ BREAKERS. YOU CAN CAUSE THE DSWC TO FAIL THE SELF-TEST UNTIL IT IS SET AGAIN.
 (6)  Open the STALL WARNING NO. 1 and NO. 2 circuit breakers on load control panels P6 and P18.

 WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THAT THE PROBE HEAT IS NOT ON. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE SEALS DO NOT EXTEND INTO THE PITOT DRAINS OR
_______ STATIC PORTS. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SYSTEM.
 (7)  Install the pitot-static probe adapter on all four of the pitot-static probes:
 (a)  Seal the pitot chamber drain hole on the bottom of the probes with vinyl adhesive tape.
 NOTE: You will find the drain hole about 2.25 inches aft of
____
 the tip of the probe.

 WARNING:_______ WHEN THE STATIC PORTS ARE COVERED, MAKE SURE THAT
 CONDITION IS VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND.  FAILURE TO OBSERVE
 AND REMOVE COVERINGS OVER STATIC PORTS BEFORE FLIGHT MAY
 CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE

 SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
 (b)  Seal the forward static ports (S1) and the aft static ports (S2) with vinyl adhesive tape at these locations: 1) The upper left pitot-static probe 2) The lower left pitot-static probe.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU FLUSH THE PROBE ADAPTER WITH WATER
_______ BEFORE YOU ATTACH THE ADAPTER TO THE PROBE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PROBE OR THE ADAPTER.
