Get the local barometric pressure (inches Hg).

 (c)  
Subtract 4.07 in. Hg. from the local barometric pressure.

 1)  Apply the result to the No. 1 auxiliary static system as absolute pressure.

 (d)
Make sure the differential pressure indicator is 2.0 |0.2 psi.


 NOTE: Hit the indicator lightly on the case, not the glass
____ dial cover, before you read the value.
 (e)  
Subtract 10.18 inches of Hg from the local barometric pressure.

 1)  Apply the result to the No. 1 auxiliary static system in absolute pressure.

 (f)
Make sure the differential pressure indicator is 5.0 |0.2 psi.

 G. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the pressure on the pitot-static lines.

Disconnect the test equipment.

Remove the seals from the airplane's static lines.


 NOTE: Make sure there are no unwanted materials in or around the

 static ports.

Open the NO. 1 AIR DATA COMPUTER-1 and TEMP PROBE circuit breakers on the load control panel, P18.

Open the NO. 2 AIR DATA COMPUTER-2 circuit breakers on the load control panel, P6.

Disconnect the decade resistance box from connector D277.

Connect D277 to the TAT probe.

Close the circuit breakers for the air data systems on the load control panels, P6 and P18.

 Remove all protective caps or covers from the temperature probes.

 Read and write the TAT value. S 865-093

 Put the PITOT STATIC HEAT A switch on the pilot's overhead panel, P5, to ON.


 WARNING:_______ DO NOT TOUCH THE TEMPERATURE PROBE WHILE THE HEATER IS ON.
 HEATER TEMPERATURE CAN BE LARGER THEN 200°F (94°C) AND CAN
 CAUSE INJURIES
 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES WHILE THE
 AIRPLANE IS ON THE GROUND.  EXTENDED OPERATION CAN DECREASE
 HEATER LIFE.

 (a) Make sure the TAT value increases when the heater is warm.
 NOTE: To test for heat, put your hand near the probe.

 (b) Make sure the TEMP PROBE light goes out.
