Put the PITOT STATIC HEAT A switch on the pilot's overhead panel, P5, to ON.
WARNING:_______ DO NOT TOUCH THE TEMPERATURE PROBE WHILE THE HEATER IS ON.
HEATER TEMPERATURE CAN BE LARGER THEN 200°F (94°C) AND CAN
CAUSE INJURIES
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES WHILE THE
AIRPLANE IS ON THE GROUND. EXTENDED OPERATION CAN DECREASE
HEATER LIFE.
(a) Make sure the TAT value increases when the heater is warm.
NOTE: To test for heat, put your hand near the probe.

(b) Make sure the TEMP PROBE light goes out.
