 E.  EFIS Current Status Tests
 NOTE: The EFIS Current Status Tests do a test of the status of the LRUs
____ (Line Replaceable Units) which are connected to each EFIS symbol generator.
 These status indications can be shown for the LRUs:
 -OK indicates a good interface between the LRU and the symbol generator.
 -FAIL indicates a failure of the input between the LRU and the symbol generator. FAIL is also shown when the LRU is not energized.
 - ---- dashes can indicate one of these conditions: An LRU is not installed on the airplane, or, NCD (No-Computed-Data) input between the LRU and the symbol generator, or, An LRU is energized, but the instrument transfer switches are not set for that LRU.

 (1)  Do the EFIS - Left Current Status Test as follows:
 (a)  
Set the two mode switches on the IRS MSU to the NAV position.

 (b)  
Use the FMCS CDU to enter the present position for the IRS (AMM 34-28-01/201).

 (c)  
Permit time for the two ALIGN lights on the IRS MSU to go off.

 (d)  
On the ADF control panel(s) installed on the aisle control stand, P8, make sure the mode switch is in the ADF position.
