(b)
Put a 0.033-inch drill rod into the drain hole.
NOTE: The diameter of the drain hole must be less than 0.033

WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE PROBE HEAT IS NOT ON. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT OBJECTS INTO THE STATIC PORTS. DO NOT LET SOLVENTS, OIL, OR GREASE GET ON THE PROBE. DO NOT RUB THE SURFACE OF THE PROBE TO CLEAN IT. THESE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PITOT-STATIC PROBE.
(2)
Clean the pitot-static probe with clean water to remove material from the external surface.
(3)
Dry the pitot-static probe with a soft cloth.

STATIC PRESSURE PORT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is to remove the static pressure port. The second task is to install the static pressure port. The installation task includes a test of the static pressure ports.
B. On the 737-300 airplanes, the static pressure ports are installed at STA 430 and WL 158.10.
C. The 737-300 static pressure port (P/N 69-15853-3) has a flat external surface.

Remove the wall from the cargo compartment to get access to the static pressure ports.

(2)
Clean the sealant away from the static pressure port.

(3)
Remove the lockwire from the nut of the static pressure port (Ref 20-10-44/401).

Remove the static pressure port (see Figure 401):
CAUTION:_______DO NOT TWIST THE STATIC HOSE. THE ALTERNATE STATIC SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY WITH A TWISTED HOSE.
(a)
Disconnect the static hose from the elbow.
(b)
Put a dust cap on the static hose.
(c)
Loosen the jamnut and remove the elbow and the O-ring from the static pressure port.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE SURFACE NEAR THE STATIC PRESSURE PORT IS
_______ FREE OF DAMAGE. IF THE SURFACE CONTAINS DAMAGE, IT CAN CAUSE THE SYSTEM NOT TO ACCURATELY CALCULATE THE PRESSURE.
