 AIR DATA COMPUTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is to remove the air data computer (ADC). The second task is to install the ADC. The installation task includes a test of the installation of the ADC.
 B.  The air data computers are installed on the E1-1 electrical shelf.
 C.  The circuit breakers for the ADC-1 (M196) are on the P18 load control center. The circuit breakers for the ADC-2 (M368) are on the P6 load control center.
 D.  This procedure is applicable to all air data computers.

 2.  Air Data Computer Removal

 (1)  Open the applicable circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  
P18 Load Control Center
 1) A8, COMPUTER-1 AC
 2) A9, COMPUTER-1 (26V AC)

 (b)  
P6 Load Control Center
 1) B6, COMPUTER-2 26V AC
 2) B7, COMPUTER-2 AC

 CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM HOSES WHEN THE SYSTEM
_______ IS NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
 (2)  Disconnect the pitot-static system hoses from the front panel of the air data computer.

 CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE AIR
_______ DATA COMPUTER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE FROM YOUR BODY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
 (3)  
Remove the air data computer (AMM 20-10-07/201).

 (4)  
Install dust caps on the electrical connections.

 3. Air Data Computer Installation

 A. General
 (1)  
You do not have to do a leak test when you connect a quick-disconnect fitting. A visual examination of the quick-disconnect for a complete seal is necessary. You must do a leak test when you cannot make sure that the quick-disconnect has a complete seal.

 (2)  
You must do a leak test of the pitot and static systems if you installed quick-disconnects on the air data computer.

Install the air data computer (AMM 20-10-07/201).
