 (7)  Open the static cutoff valve and the send auxiliary No. 2 static system to ambient pressure.
 NOTE: You must release the vacuum from the cutoff valves slowly.

_______ FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE ALL OF THE PIECES OF TAPE FROM EACH
_______ PITOT-STATIC PROBE. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY WHEN THE TAPE IS IN ITS POSITION.

Remove the vinyl adhesive tape from the aft static ports (S2) on the lower left pitot-static probe.

Remove the vinyl adhesive tape from the aft static ports (S2) on the upper right pitot-static probe.

_______ VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND. FAILURE TO OBSERVE AND REMOVE COVERINGS OVER STATIC PORTS BEFORE FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT EXTEND THE SEALS INTO THE STATIC PORTS. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE IN THE AREA WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SEALS.
 (2)  
Seal the left and right alternate static pressure ports with pressure tape.

Use these steps to connect the pneumatic test set to the alternate static system drain fitting:

 (a)  
Connect the static (vacuum) source in the pneumatic test unit through the static control valve to the static cutoff valve.

 (b)  
Connect the alternate static system quick-disconnect drain fitting to the static cutoff valve through the static system test gage and flow restrictor.
