 6.  Electronic Attitude Director Indicator (EADI) (Fig. 3)

 A.  The Electronic Attitude Director Indicator (EADI) provides a multicolor display of airplane attitude, flight director commands and various other data.
 B.  The EADI weighs 23 pounds (10.8 kg). The EADI dimensions are 6 x 5.5 x 14 in. and the display area on the EADI CRT is 4.7 x 4.2 in.
 C.  One inlet hole and one exhaust hole, each covered with a wire mesh screen, are located at the rear of the EADI. These holes provide passage for cooling air from the equipment cooling system.
 D.  An inclinometer is mounted on the EADI to display airplane's lateral acceleration.
 E.  The principle systems that provide data to the EADI include: IRS, VOR/ILS, FMCS, ADC, radio altimeter, autothrottle, and autopilot.
 F.  The EADI has only one basic display mode, in which data from various airplane systems are displayed on the CRT.
 G.  EADI Fault Displays (Fig. 3A)

When a specific input to the symbol generator becomes invalid, the symbol or data value associated with it on the EADI is blanked. In most cases, a yellow fault flag is also displayed, in place of the invalid symbol or data (Fig. 3).

 (2)  
When the status of a data source, for any given symbol or data value, changes from valid to NCD (no-computed-data), the symbol or data value normally blanks, or is replaced by a series of dashes.

 7.  Electronic Horizontal Situation Indicator (EHSI) (Fig. 4)

 A.  The Electronic Horizontal Situation Indicator (EHSI) provides a multicolor display of various navigational and weather radar data.
 B.  The principle systems that provide data for display on the EHSI include: VOR/ILS, DME, ADC, FMCS, IRS, weather radar, FCC, and ADF.
