 (4)  To get out of the FMCS BITE, push the LSK 6L <INDEX until you get back to the MAINT BITE index page. Also, the BITE is stopped when you push the INIT/REF key on the CDU.

 (1)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Make sure the BAT switch on the pilot's forward overhead panel is in the ON position.

 (3)  
Make sure the STANDBY POWER switch on the pilot's forward overhead panel is in the AUTO position.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT COOLING SYSTEM
_______ BEFORE YOU ENERGIZE AN ELECTRONIC SYSTEM. TOO MUCH HEAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.

 (a)  
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) EFIS CONT PANEL R
 2) EFIS SYM GEN R
 3) F/O EADI
 4) F/O EHSI
 5) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS


 (b)  
P18 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) EFIS CONT PANEL L
 2) EFIS SYM GEN L
 3) CAPT EADI
 4) CAPT EHSI

 (6)  
Make sure the EFI transfer switch on the pilot's overhead panel, P5, is in the NORMAL position.

On the left and right EFIS control panels, set the controls as follows:

 (a)  
The RANGE switch to the 80 position.

 (b)  
The map mode display switches to the off position.

 (c)  
The WXR ON switch to the off position.

 (d)  
The EADI and EHSI BRT (brightness) controls to the usual brightness level.

 


 E. EFI Transfer Switch Test

 (1)  Make sure this circuit breaker is closed:
 (a)  P18 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) INSTR XFR

 (2)  Make sure the EFI and IRS transfer switches on the pilot's overhead panel, P5, are in the NORMAL position.
