A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Make a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026). Use it to clean the actuator and the hinge-fittings on the spoilers 2 thru 5.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the actuator and the hinge-fittings on the spoilers 2 thru 5 to make sure that:

there is no damage
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no scratches and/or scores
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 575100) for the

correct repair procedure.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 6CV, 8CV, 21CE2, 21CE3.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER from the spoiler actuator.
(3)
Retract the spoilers (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(4)
On the servo-control, make sure that the pointer on the hex-head is opposite the letter 'O' (Operation) on the housing.

(1)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(2)
Remove the safety barriers.
(3)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
