 G. Flap Beam and Track 1
 The flap beam and track 1 is attached at two positions:
 -
a forward attachment

 -
a rear attachment.
 Bolts attach the forward attachment to the aircraft structure and,
 through a link, to the flap beam and track. Bolts attach the aft
 attachment to the aircraft structure and, through a machined lug, to the
 flap beam and track.

 

 The flap beam and track is a titanium assembly, with a machined roller track at each side. A flap actuating lever at the forward end of the beam has a limit stop. A bush assembly at the rear end of the beam is the limit stop for the flap carriage.

 The flap beams and tracks 2, 3 and 4 are attached at two positions:
 -
a forward attachment

 Forward attachment

 The forward attachment of each flap beam and track includes a pin which is installed in a bearing and the fail-safe spigot. Brackets attach the bearing and the fail-safe spigot to the bottom skin panel (Ref. 57-26-00).

 Rear attachment


 The rear attachment of each flap beam and track includes bolts, a spigot and a fail-safe spigot, that go through bearing pads on the bottom skin panel.

An aft top member, which is the flap carriage track, is machined from extruded titanium. The beams have titanium webs and stops, extruded-titanium angles and channels and a forged aluminum alloy flange. Aluminum alloy diaphragms and angles are installed between the webs.

 The flap beams and tracks 2, 3 and 4 are attached at two positions:

 Forward attachment

 The forward attachment of each flap beam and track has a spigot and a failsafe pin. A bearing bracket, mounted on the wing bottom skin panel, holds the spigot. The failsafe pin connects a bracket mounted on the flap beam to a catching bracket on the bottom skin panel (Ref. 57-26-00).

 Rear attachment


 The rear attachment of each flap beam and track has a failsafe spigot and an aft spigot pin. These go through an outer bracket mounted on the wing bottom skin panel. Bolts and screws hold two bearing pads to the top face of the beam, and attach the beam to the outer bracket (Ref. 57-26-00).
 The flap beams and tracks 2, 3 and 4 are box-type assemblies. An aft top member, which is the flap carriage track, is machined from extruded titanium. The beams have titanium webs and stops, extruded-titanium angles and channels and a forged aluminum alloy flange. Aluminum alloy diaphragms and angles are installed between the webs.
