(1)
Fully extend the slats (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2)
Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1)
Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the inspection area of slat track 11 shown.
(2)
Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the inspection area of slat track 12 shown.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the slat 5, tracks 11 and 12 attachment links, side plates, track rib lugs and track lugs. Make sure that:
-there is no corrosion, cracks or damage
-the sealant is in a serviceable condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 574000) for the
____
correct repair procedure.
(2) Examine each slat attachment bolt on slat tracks 11 or 12 as follows: NOTE : Remove one of the attachment bolts, examine it and install it
____ correctly before removing a different bolt for inspection. Do not remove more than one attachment bolt at any time.
(a) Remove one of the slat attachment bolts on tracks 11 or 12 (Ref. TASK 27-84-67-000-001).

(b) Examine the attachment bolt. Make sure that:
-there is no corrosion or damage

the shank of the bolt is not worn

the bolt hole is not worn or damaged.
NOTE : If necessary, discard the worn/damaged bolt and install a

replacement item.
(c)
Install the slat attachment bolt (Ref. TASK 27-84-67-400-002).
(d)
Do steps (a) thru (c) for each attachment bolt on the slat tracks 11 and 12 attachment links and side plates.
