(1)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Put the adjustable access platform below the applicable wing leading edge at slat 3, zone 521(621).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Extend the slats fully (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2)
Install the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) on the flap/slat control lever.

R R R (1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the slat 3 skin connection (in the area of the lower girder at track ribs 7 and 8).

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the slat 3 skin connection (Ref. NTM 57-44-04) PART 9.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 574000) for the____ correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up________

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5CV, 7CV.

(1) Retract the slats fully (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-005).

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the warning notice(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and
standard tools and all other items.
