(1) Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Extend the slats fully (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2)
Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
R (3) Put the access platform below the applicable wing leading edge at R slat 4, zone 522(622).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the roller contact area of the slat tracks 9 and 10.

B. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the roller contact area of the slat tracks 9 and 10 (Ref. NTM 57-45-01 PART 6).
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 574000) for the
____ correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5CV, 7CV.

C. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
