A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Flap Track Beam
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
WARNING : SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY OR IT WILL FALL AND BECOME DAMAGED OR

INJURE PERSONNEL. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY.
(1)
Apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the interfaces of the ball pin (9), and put in position on the flap track beam (1).
(2)
Lift and hold the flap track beam (1) in position.
NOTE : The weight of the flap track beam (1) is 35 kg (77.1617 lb).

(3) At the rear mounting:
(a) Apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the interfaces of:
-
the bushes (3), (4) and (7)
-
the bolts (2) and (5).

(b)
Install the bushes (4), the bolts (5) and the nuts (6).
(c)
Install the bushes (3) and (7), the bolt (2) and the nut (8).
(d)
TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 2.6 and 3.0 m.daN (19.17 and
22.12 lbf.ft).
(e)
TORQUE the bolt (2) to between 5.5 and 6.2 m.daN (40.56 and 45.72 lbf.ft).
(4)
At the forward mounting:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the interfaces of:
-
the bush (11)
-
the bolt (12).
(b)
Install the bush (11), the bolt (12) and the nut (13).
(c)
TORQUE the bolt (12) to between 3.1 and 3.6 m.daN (22.86 and
26.54 lbf.ft).
(5)
Remove the support from the flap track beam (1).
(6)
At the forward mounting:
(a) Apply a thin layer of STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-004) to:
-
the head of the bolt (12)
-
the nut (13).
(7)
At the rear mounting:
(a) Apply a thin layer of STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-004) to:
-
the heads of the bolts (2) and (5)
-
the nuts (6) and (8).
