Make sure that the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

Make sure that the warning notices are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

R (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a
R MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-026).
R (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are
R clean and in the correct condition.
R (4) If the access panel seal is damaged, replace it (Ref. TASK 57-51-37-
R 960-001).

R (1) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-
R 019) to the aircraft structure/component interface.

R (3) Install the screws (1).
